Anne Ellett is a certified nurse practitioner and founder of Memory Care Support, a resource dedicated to providing support and resources for people living with dementia and their family caregivers. The site offers access to quality resources, educational products and services to improve the health and quality of life for the aging, as well as those charged with their care.
With an extensive background in senior housing and dementia care, Anne's professional expertise includes the establishment of protocols for management of diseases of the frail elderly, research in the field of dementia, case management of homebound seniors, and supervision of care for patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.
Prior to founding Memory Care Support, Anne held the position of Senior Vice President of Health Services for Silverado Senior Living for more than ten years. During her tenure with Silverado, she was recognized for her work in the area of dementia by the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL). In addition, she was nominated to the U.S. Congressional Advisory Committee on Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation.
Anne provides private consultation to individual families seeking the best in care for their loved ones living with dementia. She also consults with hospital groups and senior residential housing organizations in methods to improve the quality of dementia care.
A member of the Dementia Action Alliance, Anne speaks nationwide on the topic of standards of care for dementia patients, fall and injury prevention, polypharmacy in the elderly, prevention of elder abuse and other health issues related to quality of care for the aging. She has delivered keynote and workshop presentations to numerous organizations, including the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), and at conferences for the state chapters of ALFA in Texas, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and California.
Anne received a bachelor of arts in social sciences from the University of California, Irvine and bachelor and masters of science degrees in nursing from California State University, Long Beach. Anne lives and works in Texas and California.
